This is a 1980s Burny REX-80 lawsuit Explorer in a gorgeous aged white finish. Manufactured in Japan. These are spec'd equivalent to the Gibson '76 Explorer models. This REX-80 was routed for a Kahler 2200 Stud mount bridge early in its life. The routing is structurally solid, no issues. Original tailpiece stud mount holes have been redrilled and painted over. Their is honest play wear throughout the guitar, everything you would expect from a 40 year player. The face of the head stock has some blushing, there is finish checking along the set neck joint and oxydation on the brass components. Frets have been recently polished and fretboard properly treated. Pickups have been swapped out for Seymour Duncan JB SH-4 in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan ‘59 in the neck. A Gibson black snakeskin Explorer case is included.
Setup professionally in E standard with 10-46 gauge strings. Truss rod functions properly and turns smoothly. Neck is straight with slight relief. Frets are full of life. Action is textbook low. Electronics work perfectly.
