This is a 1970 Aria Diamond 1702T made in Japan. During the late 1960s and 1970s, both Univox and Aria Diamond outsourced their production to the legendary Matsumoku plant in Japan. In the case of the 1702T / Hi Flier Phase II, factory workers used the exact same wood, templates, high-output single-coil pickups, and hardware to roll these off the line. The only difference between the Aria Diamond 1702T and the Univox Hi Flier Phase II was the decal applied to the headstock.  The Univox models were imported to the USA and the Aria Diamond models were made for distribution in the Japan and European market.   These are notable for their use by Kurt Cobain.  This one has honest wear throughout including dings, scuffs, and repaired finish checking along the bass side of the neck.

Setup professionally in E standard with 10-46 gauge strings.  Truss rod functions properly and turns smoothly.  Neck is straight with slight relief.  Frets are full of life.   Action is textbook low.   Electronics work perfectly.
